Rechargeable hearing aids are convenient, but once they no longer accept recharge the batteries are usually not replaceable and you will have to buy new. I wore them to work today. I can understand speech better with the Airpods than with my expensive hearing aids. On the downside, the silicone ear tips don't want to stay in my ears. I found out last night that when I yawned the one on the right pops out. By noon today, both wanted to fall out of my ears. Ear tips made of other materials are available and I'll definitely ry some out. The other weird thing was when I was driving the left ear amplification would drop down for some time then pop back up to normal, then drop down again in a repeating cycle of variable length (in tens of seconds). I think it was trying to suppress the wind noise but was full of fail. For a version 1 feature it did pretty well. I'm looking for improvements as it matures.
