My son gave me a stainless steel barrel, said he's "going a different route" is there anybody here that can put me an upper together? I bring the parts and pay to assemble. AND can you tell me what component determines gas length, I'm thinking barrel? Funny thing is, he gives me this stuff knowin he gonna get it back

i no longer have the tools to build rifle uppers, mainly a vise. vise is a must, torque wrench (which i do have) a must for barrel nut installation. if it were me, i would order the Aero Precision Gen II upper with the hand guard length you want.
