What's everybody's take on a tan/dark earth AR?
I've been thinking about building one, but it's hard to veer from the good old black.

I'm a fan of a little FDE stuff on a black rifle.

Threw in some OD on the hand-guards to mix it up:

Here's what it looked like with the Magpul FDE ladders:

Dr. Baker's was one of the first ARs I ever saw with FDE goodies on it and I was hooked after that (that's his below).

Dr Baker, that is a sweet rig.

I wish I didnt have two AR's with various amounts of FDE on them, because Im sick of how "trendy" they are now; but the truth is, it works.

Its a great color; much more low key and conspicuous than your ordinary black rifle. Its also difficult to be identified as being armed with a long gun in low light and from distances.

I love the FDE look. I have it on my AR-15 and had olyeller do my duty 21SF frame in FDE. I have since added black ladder rail protectors and a bipod.
