They are entertaining when we agree and anger provoking when we do not. Perhaps we should be more sparing in their use. They are a kind of cartoon book. I like cartoon books but perhaps we need to use other forms of expression more often.

If a meme provokes anger, maybe one should seek anger management classes. One should limit their exposure to "anger provoking memes" if they are in someone else domain.

Maybe we need a "Safe Space for Memes" thread. Only memes that are guaranteed not to trigger sensitive people are allowed. The grownups can still look at the usual meme thread.

Memes are a good way to get a point across. They are visually stimulating to attract the eye, and the text message is usually simple and to the point.

Memes are not inherently bad. Think about what a meme is. It is usually a picture and a few lines of text designed to perfectly convey an idea. The "problem" that some people see with memes is that most of them are made by the right because, let's be honest here, the LEFT CAN'T MEME. Shocker, I know. These memes are often humorous at the expense of a person, group, or idea. They often tell a truth that many know to be correct, but will not say out loud for fear of persecution by the morality police. Don't get rid of them. Social media is already banning people and ideas at an alarming rate. We do not need to help it along.

If someone can't handle a silly picture, they should leave. We are responsible for our action, our reaction, and our inaction. If someone can't control your reaction, that is their failure.
