Message: <blockquote data-quote="loudshirt" data-source="post: 2093358" data-attributes="member: 10585"><p>There has to be some bite to the law.  If you did not pay a traffic ticket and nothing happened what would be the point of the ticket.  If the ticket was cheap most people would think oh it is worth it and speed or drive like a moron more often.  I am pretty sure that people arrested for traffic warrants dont really spend that much time in jail most just a couple of hours.  I really dont think that traffic warrants are contributing to jail overcrowding.  Most police officers I know dont take people in for one traffic warrant unless that person is just being an idiot.  They usually inform that person of the warrant and explain how to take care of it.  Now if they have multiple warrants for the same traffic offense they do go to jail.</p></blockquote><p></p>
