Are we under an upgraded threat level that I don't know about?

I explained that you cannot have a TSA lock on it, it needs to be locked by me, and I need to retain the key. I told her I would wait to see if they needed additional screening. Figured she just had not dealt with it very much, no big deal.</p><p></p><p>On my return trip, I ran into the same kind of reaction and questions. I was flying out of Omaha, which is always a little tighter due to USSSTRATCOM based there, but they had extra officers on hand, and several posted at the ticket counters as well. In both screening areas, the scanners were questioning most of every bad that came through, and I was patted down in both places. Of course when I got to the hotel and home, I had a tag in my bag saying it had been searched by the TSA, which is not uncommon at all when I am traveling with a handgun. Maybe it was just me this week, but I had more explaining, and weird acting TSA people this week than I have had in a long time. I know we have some TSA people here, just wondering if there was a reason for it?</p></blockquote><p></p>
