Hello all
From what little Ive googled this is a Type 99 Arisaka short pattern- made somewhere from 39-44 at the Kokura arsenal. Ground mum but legible japanese writing.
Looks to be in good shape. I have not shot it, never had 7.7jap. I bought it and its just collecting dust in my safe.
See pics for overall shape- appears to be complete minus cleaning rod and the AA wing sights (pretty common?) There is hand carved checkering in the complete mil stock
I am not an expert on these or any other rifle- feel free to ask any question and Ill do my best though
