The problem is that this site is where some pawn shops and LGS go to price their stuff. In six months it will be the going rate.
I see it at gun shows too (like one of the more recent ones here in stillwater). Either way, when you ask why so overpriced the answer is "this is a private sale... no paperwork".
As crazy as it may be, I'd prefer to keep private sales off the radar - and any felons that are buying guns this way would likely get them anyway (it would just be our guns when they burglarize homes).
