I think that there’s a lot of people who don’t fully understand or grasp the difference between a stock and a brace. I get it, the laws are tough and sometimes the products are ambiguous.

I’ve got someone that I work with that absolutely cannot grasp the difference. Just cannot wrap his head around what his eyes see.

I don't do armslist but, what's weird about that? What would you do differently?

Also, is a "brace" officially illegal? I don't own one and have no intention of owning one, but I wasn't aware that any such law had taken effect.
To start off with that is not a brace. That’s a plane old M4 carbine stock in the picture. The picture as configured is a SBR. Not a pistol. That is what the OP is talking about. One is legal as a pistol. The other is legal with a $200 tax stamp.

Call the guy, buy it, it’s cheap, immediately take the buffer tube assembly off and do wtf you want with it; either brace, pistol buffer tube only or sbr and tax stamp, Or or or get a long muzzle device to make it legal. And there are fixed brace/buttstocks from the Clinton era that fall in there somewhere.

Does anyone actually believe the atf posts up illegal weapons and then arrests you when you buy it?
