[QUOTE="Parks 788, post: 3186243, member: 14646"] My wife wanted to get her boss a nice solid "guy gift" so I suggested a quality axe. She thought about it for a bit and she decided on a hatchet. She ended up having me order a Gransfors Bruk Small Forest Axe. They come with a crappy little sheath that and I have gotten into leather work the last few years just screwing around making a few other axe sheathes and a pistol holster for my Browning Buckmark. The small axe took forever to ship and my wife wanted to get the gift to him tomorrow so I only had a few days to make the sheath. With the exception of the wonky stitching on the one side I think it turned out real nice for the several evenings of work it took. Now I have to make one very similar to this for my Wetterlings Small Forest Axe but it is just different enough that I can't use the same paper pattern I made for the GF piece.
