I don't understand why Gravely isn't on your list. When I first bought my place in the country, I bought a used, (7-year-old} Gravley Z60 for $3000. I dropped the deck as low as it would go and used it as a box blade/road grader to get rid of the crests and high spots. I did 7 acres that way. When I finally got grass on the ground It did a good job of mowing. Thankfully, I dropped back to mowing all 7 acres just a few times each season, and continued mowing just 3 acres on a regular basis. I used/abused it for 3 years and then sold it for $1500 because I was moving to town.. Certainly, the blades were replaced 3 or 4 times, but, that mower still did the job. No breaks in the deck or frame. The Kawasaki started every time I turned the key. I'm not proud of the abuse I dished out, but I was proud of the abuse that Gravely mower took and survived.
