My wife of 26yrs and I met in April and was married the week after I got out of bootcamp the following March. We have made it work, of course I was such a catch it was easy for her.:hot: My folks were a little faster than that. My mom had a double date with one of my dad's flight members in the Air Force and one of his buddies. My dad hitched a ride into town with the 2 and ditched mom's date and showed up on the date. They were married 2 weeks later, I came along 9mo and 2 days later. They made it for 24yrs until my dad's death. The biggest problem nowadays is we are a disposable society. It's too easy for people to just discard a relationship when things get tough. I wouldn't give you 2 cents for a marriage that hasn't been challenged. There is just something comforting about knowing that your spouse will be there when things get tough, because she's done it before. That kind of trust is nothing short of a true blessing.
