I bought them one time. Their own bullets did not pass their "smash test." I told them about it. Crickets.
There are other good bullets out there.

Smashing the bullet to see how the coating performs. It probably flaked in his test.


Here is one I did earlier this year with an Acme Bullet. Acme uses the same Hi-Tek coating as Bayou. Bayou is actually the USA distributor for Hi-Tek. The product is good, there must have been a preparation/application issue with his experience. As you can see the coating did not fail on this one.

NEXT IS THE “SMASH TEST”

Place the above bullets on the floor or other sturdy object and literally smash the bullet with one blow. Check to see of the coating has become brittle by flaking off.

If this has happened, the bullet has failed the test and you must start over. The most common cause of flaking is applying the coating too heavily and/or inadequate dry time before placing in oven.

Thanks for explanation. I loaded and shot either 500 or 1000 .40 cal red ones without issue.
