The middle one in the picture was the best option to keep in it's original configuration. I picked these up last year when Buds had them for $99, just got around to refinishing it.

recently got a t53 myself. that thing looks great! did you cold blue any metal or just oil it well? what stain,if any, did you use and what finish?

For as rough as the guns were, the metal was in pretty remarkable shape. Nothing but a good scrub and cleaning for it.

The stock, after hours of sanding, was stained with dark walnut. Finish is 6 layers of Tru-Oil, with a final rub down of #0000 steel wool to get the satin finish.
