I imagine that highly paid campaign staffers told him that it was too risky. Obama could make a case that he did the right thing based on undisclosed top secret information and then claim that Romney was playing politics while he was doing the tough job of being President.

I've heard both sides of the argument and I think Romney could've put Obama on the ropes. I don't think Obama would've been able to rebut that one smoothly.

I think Romney did the right thing because in general the media will side with Obama we all know this. There might be one reporter at each major news paper working on the story .... how many democrats still read the paper though?

It's because Romney is a warmonger the same as Obama, and would have handled it the same way. Calling it an act of terror or not makes no difference if they're both going to keep us in an indefinite state of war.
