beretta m9a1 value?

i saw one of these the other day and i think i've come to the conclusion that i really like the option of having the rail if i was to get another beretta 92fs in the future, but i really don't know what kind of a price they're going for, does anyone know? also, does anyone have one and like/dislike it?

Beretta seems to make these in batches. Best price ran about $600 or so, but none have been released in a while and on the auction sites they have been going for $800 and up recently.

I don't have an M9A1 but I like the coarse checkering (instead of the standard 92's serrations) on the grip. I like light rails.
