Been looking at buying a 1911 and like the Kimber Tle and Remington R1.
What do y'all recommend and what's good brands?

Lol, no its a Glock(and it is fake). But the S&W 1911's are pretty and in the price range you posted. I have a 1911PD which they don't make anymore. Here is their E series(most similar to my older model; has the rail):
