best kind of mask to clean guns

wow! $49.99 for a pair of filters.
Last time I bought them it was a six pack for like $17 at Home Depot and a mask with one set was $27
Filters are as valuable as 22 ammo.

I cut up and used a mask to clean a black powder rifle when I failed to bring patches along with me. It worked in a pinch, but I'd just use cleaning patches next time around.

Make sure if you go that route, you get the filters as well. I didn't notice in my original post that they were not included with that mask.

Most of the masks I’ve seen should work. Just rub gently to start but I can’t imagine any mask being abrasive enough to hurt the finish of a gun.
