I have been going to it since about 1991. Its usually shoulder to shoulder people. Assume you will walk several miles on concrete with no place to sit down. There are tables and benches near the food venders, but they are often full, so good shoes are a must. If you want to cover a show in an hour and are looking for a deal on beat up military surplus this is the wrong show. The show has more antique firearms than any other show I have been to and is probably the largest. If your into rare old guns, its worth the price of admission to look around. In the past I have seen original Gatlin guns, Colt Walkers. I have seen confederate pistols. Old west artifacts. Military artifacts. Pristine WWII era guns will be there. Some class 3 stuff. Post civil war American military and sporting guns are common. You can expect to see much older stuff, like wheel lock pistols from the 1500's, a few matchlocks. Pre civil war military and civilian cap locks and flint locks will be there. You are guaranteed to see some stunning Winchesters and Colts. I would expect to see several Henry rifles, at least a few Volcanic pistols. A few Colt revolving rifles are likely to be there. Sharps rifles are always there. Lots of goofy civil war era carbines. Nice European sporting rifles. Cased sets of custom shotguns All kinds of firearm accessories. Oddball used and new reloading dies. Antique reloading tools and bullet molds. Antique ammo. There will also be folks with your usual assortment of modern sporting arms, black semi autos, military surplus, parts, etc. Don't expect to find any bargains. If they are there, someone will find them before you. If you are shopping for something old or hard to find you have a good chance of finding it, or at least a contact for someone who will have it. If your thinking about something, and want to do some comparison shopping, good chance you will be able to do it. Take a pen and paper so you can write down where you saw something cool that you have to think about. Ware comfortable shoes.
