Trying to downsize my reproduction flight jacket collection somewhat as I just added a couple Good Wear jackets over the last month. The jacket being offered for sale is a reproduction of Star Sportswear's WWII 18245 contract A-2. Here's additional information from BK's product description: https://billkelsomfg.com/shop/product/star-18245/ "This jacket represents the only A-2 jacket contract awarded to Star Sportswear Mfg Co. of Lynn, Massachusetts. The Star 18245 A-2 jacket pattern is a really slim fit. It features inset (rotated) sleeves and a uniquely “crescent moon” shaped collar that sits lower in the front and does not obstruct the movement of the wearer’s head. The throat hook is secured with golden finish brass eyelets which are not seen by any other A-2 maker. The lining is thought by many to be a dull mid brown dirt color, but tearing an original apart revealed that the actual color is dark brown. The original Star jackets were made with seal brown horsehide and either tan or a dull purple-brown color thread. Jacket on display made with Victory Horsehide Dark Seal, dark tan lining and medium brown thread." The jacket is a size 42L, but fits like a small 42R. A little bit of the pigment has worn off in areas like the elbows, but this one is just breaking in. The zipper slider has been replaced with an original Talon. Measurements: pit to pit: 22 inches / 55.9 cm shoulders: 18 inches / 45.7 cm sleeves (measured following the curve): 25.5 inches / 64.8 cm sleeves (straight down): 24 3/8 inches / 61.9 cm back: 24.5 inches / 62.2 cm This BK jacket currently retails for £1055 GPB (approx $1,345 USD + shipping) with a wait time of approximately 9+ months.
