To be funded by a 16 year increase in property taxes. 110 mill divided by 16 years is 7 mil per year. Divided by 20000 registered voters is $350 per voter increase to property taxes. In a city where the median income is $40k. It was voted in, in a year where this particular county had 50 million in flood damage to residential structures. None of which the county paid a damn thing to rebuild. But they will raise your property taxes 50% to have a college level football stadium for a high school football team. It just seems them democratic process is not so democratic anymore. Seems more socialistic to me. But you are correct. It doesn’t seem to make any difference whose box we check on a ballot.</blockquote>
