Even a little. So forecast wise, perfect for areas west of Hinton to Kingfisher to Enid. Where it went wrong. The SE edge. The upper low continues to pump dry air entrainment from the SE side. That graphic I showed you earlier was a death blow for the afternoon. However, things improved and by 6pm we were all seeing snow. Here we are an hour later and more dry air is coming in. We still have snow and it will still snow through late tonight. However, with temperatures hovering around 32-34 degrees and pockets of dry air working in, it's just not heavy enough to significantly accumulate across the metro. Eventually we'll get the grass covered with a couple of inches but roads may end up being just fine, just wet. We're also still getting the wind and blowing snow. So, the forecast wasn't perfect. I was wanting several inches myself, but alas, just not in the cards. So close though. At least people were prepared. Also let me say that if you ran out to buy all the milk and bread in OKC, that wasn't a great idea. If you lived in rural areas of W/NW OK, I told you to do that because you would get buried and it would be a couple of days before roads improved to get around. That is certainly what has happened with 3-4 foot drifts. Whoever said "pimp'n ain't easy" never tried winter weather forecasting in OK. It is what it is. Enjoy the snow.
