This my friends is most likely a “bourbon scammer”. They are as thick as flies on a pile of sh** right now. You can’t swing a dead hooker without hitting a bourbon scammer. Blanton’s is available locally, if you look hard enough. I have 1 empty, 1 half full, and 1 unopened bottle in my bar right now. They were all purchased in the metro. I also have a bottle of 15 yo Pappy in the gun safe. I paid an exorbitant amount of money for it about 3-4 years ago, and last time I looked the price had more than doubled. I have an empty bottle of pappy in my bar as well. It’s really good, but unless I stumble across it somewhere, which is highly unlikely, I won’t purchase another one. There are good bourbons available, that don’t cost an arm & a leg. What’s a “good bourbon” you ask? Everyone has their own measuring stick. Mine is; if I can get really liquored up on it and not have even a little bit of a hangover in the morning, that is a quality booze. I don’t always get really liquored up, but that’s the measure for me. Those are available, some of them for less than 80 bucks, U.S., and locally. Good luck in your searches. Everyone that drinks should be allowed to enjoy a really fine glass of bourbon on the regular. Is this a great country or what?
