Unless you already had a stockpile, or have the free time to line up at Walmart or Academy and sit on the internet to order as soon as reasonably priced ammo comes in stock on the web before it sells out to get your hands on some, it is kind of costly and prohibitive still from what I've seen.

I can sight one in with 5 rounds or less.

I've never sighted one in and out of the box the sight was way off target.
So, to answer a couple of folks here, yes it is cost prohibitive unless you can provide a source for reasonably prices 22lr.
Unfortunately I cannot sight one in with only 5 shots. Quite frankly it makes more sense to me to shoot at the range vs spending time tinkering with sight and for me it has proven to take me longer. I am a novice.

At any rate. I picked up a bushnell bore sight that goes in the end of the barrell.

Don't sweat it soonerbulldog, this is the internet. (Sarcasm on) Everyone can sight in a gun with 5 shots, everyone drives a 600HP car, everyone has a hot girlfriend/boyfriend.

I sure can't sight a gun in with 5 shots to my satisfaction. I bore sighted my new .22 and have put a few rounds through it trying to get it dialed in. I have a couple more sessions planned until I'm happy.

Good luck, but most importantly have fun.
