They are really hard to get latched into the receiver and on several occasions have fell out even after they clicked into the latch. They feed just fine.

That’s odd. I’ve never experienced that with mine. I’ve got 2 factory mags and mine work great.
I have not. There has probably only been 50 rounds through the rifle, maybe the magazines need some time to break in. Seems like an odd notion with plastic though. Now, thinking about it, I did swap the stock out to a Boyd's Thumbhole stock immediately after I purchased the rifle so not sure if that has anything to do with it. The magazine well swapped right over to it without any fitment issues. Might be something I need to look into.
The rifle shoots fantastic. I glass bedded and pillar bedded the action and it consistently shoots .6 moa @100yds with 190gr Barnes LRX over 68gr/IMR1450. It hits like Thor's Hammer on deer sized game.
