George is a good guy. I have used the Buck Forage Oats for at least 6 or 7 years. He has been spot on with the attraction and winter hardiness they provide. Through the years I have added various other seeds to try and aid the attraction, from winter peas, purple top turnips/radishes, clovers, alfalfa and chicory. Some were obvious good producers and attraction, others were not efficient for me in my small plots. For instance Austrian Winter Peas were only available to me in a 50# bag, and I didn't need that much for a small mixed food plot and I didn't want to throw all of my eggs in 1 basket with a monoculture of AWP in a plot. I was curious what was in the 4x4 mix, to see if it was similar to what I was already adding to my BFO food plots, but I didn't mean to kick a hornet's nest. I think his food plot suggestions are great and the group buy on the BFO only saves us money and benefits us. The 4x4 mix is a great addition to a cerial grain food plot.
