C&R Question

When I go to a gun show and purchase a C&R gun from a dealer do I show them my FFL and my drivers license or would it be best to have made up some xerox copies of both to give to the dealer? Also does the FFL dealer have to call the Feds for a background check?

Give them a copy of the FFL. No BG check required. They'll just transfer it to your license and you'll have to log it into your AD.

I aways have an unsigned copy, I have been told some dealers want to see you sign and date it in front of them. Not sure how much truth there is to this.
