This got me digging around a little on penetration and I found the following info.

I'm really more interested in the 45acp right now and they tested the 40S&W, but I noticed that on a lot of the penetration tests, that the rounds penetrated the same or even more on the clothed gelatin vs the unclothed. The clothing decreased the expansion obviously, but I wouldn't have expected such a big difference. The last one penetrated 10" deeper through clothing. Thought it was interesting.

Well sure,I like penetration as much as the next guy.But getting back to the subject,sounds like we better use 20mm or bigger,and shoot till you run out of ammo.
