Just Listened to yesterday's interview by Candace Owens of Phil Tourney, a survivor of the USS Liberty incident in 1967. I have always been a very patriotic person but lately I have had a lot of reservations about what my country has been accused of....the cover-up accusations. Lately it is getting increasingly difficult to know what to believe, who to trust, etc.

Lately it is getting increasingly difficult to know what to believe, who to trust, etc.

The USS Liberty has long been used by conspiracy theory guys to claim that Israel has more sway over our government than our laws do. If you look at how the incident has been played down, covered up, those bringing it up accused of anti-Semitism, it's pretty easy to tell who's problem. I watched an interview with some of the sailors - one Jewish sailor was beside himself with anger over the way it was handled, and the attempt to color the folks that wanted to get sunlight on the incident.

It's just one of many instances where bringing up unpleasant facts gets the reaction of name-calling, character assassination, and a media blackout over the event.

If by "lately" you mean the last 25 to 30 years, I agree.

Shady? He didn't come close to being shady. He was in total darkness. Shade requires sunlight and he had none in his politics or his soul.
