unless it was a snubby or a 6 shot revolver and you had to shoot it dry before leaving that position.

New idea.

Have a stage called the "jewelry store" in honor of the Houston shoot out a couple weeks ago.

Have the shooters bring an empty mag. While the targets are being scored/taped the RO will load the next shooters mag. First round in is one of the bright dummy rounds followed by 5 or 6 rounds for the stage to keep it the same for the revolver guys.

Shooter starts on the X and engages the bad guys on his way to his other gun under the counter. Once his pistol goes click he performs a tap rack ejecting the bright dummy round visible to all and locking the slide back. He sits the now empty gun on the table and picks up the second gun to finish the stage.

Other options would be to start them with a revolver and shoot it dry like pstmstr said or to start with a coach gun and shoot it dry then go to their handgun.

I like that idea.
