Although the State collects twice the amount in fees on the 10 year versus the 5 year, the 10 year option is far more cost effective on YOUR TIME. You ony have to spend time and effort in compeleting the renewal package once in 10 years as opposed to twice in 10 years. Also, as more people get into a 10 year renewal cycle, there were will be less of a burden during the renewals since the number of license holders will be spread out over a 10 year cycle as opposed to a 5 year cycle.IMO, the 5 year license is only cost effective if you do not plan on being in the state longer than 5 years.</blockquote>
