I think we would all be better off if we didn't feed spectacles like this. It is about the same as my wife watching Entertainment Tonight or whatever. Putting any energy into keeping up with the personal lives or side show antics by any celebrity makes no sense to me at all. I thoroughly enjoy watching movies, listening to music, going to concerts, etc. and outside of not supporting someone that preys on other people, I couldn't care less about what happens in their personal life. I don't care about their political leanings unless I am in a situation to actually discuss with them why they believe what they believe. I don't care if their marriage is healthy or not. My life takes plenty of effort and time to make sure my wife, kids, parents, brother, in laws, and a few close friends are happy, healthy, and not in need of help. What little bit I have left over after that goes to me. Obviously, the seconds it takes to hold a door for someone, say good morning, or help them load something in a parking lot if they are older or struggling doesnt count. Plus that stuff makes me feel better when I get to do it anyway, so it is kind of part of the time for me.
