I'd love one for sure, but they're newer and still $$$$$. At least compared to a diesel 'burb that's 10+ years older. The Liberty announced their CRD back in late 2004 about a month after I purchased my gasser :-/ They made the Grand Cherokee with a CRD for a while; some people swapped in gears (like all the way to 3.07 if 2wd) and are pulling close to 30 MPG. One of those with highway gears would be a pretty sweet grocery getter 4x4 for bad weather. 2LO would be great in ice and snow, and more frequent 4Lo would help with those gears whenever off road, but it'd still never be a rock crawler. Probably more than plenty of gear for what I would do though.
