Reference the Z-71 thread, BIGGSLY had a cam go out on his 6.0. I have a '09 6.0 Silverado and the cam went out last year at about 25K. I suspect it was related to the active fuel management. The dealer repaired it under warranty but I'm afraid it's getting ready to do it again. Also, on a cold start with outside air temp around 50, my truck will immediately idle up to almost 2500 rpm for no reason, then idle back down to normal. It's random and I said something about it to the dealer and he said "it's normal....". Of course I know better than to take it in to have them fix it unless it's doing that all the time. It's not throwing a code and I suspect it to be a vacuum leak. Any thoughts?

I would think a leak also or idle air controll . if it has one.
The cam thing.... EPA stuck their noses into the oil i still feel that the ZDDP levels in oil is not high enough for even a roller engine.
They can claim all they want that the oil is fine , but i have seen different.
Research ZDDP levels..
The sight BITOG.com is a good starting place
