I get a call yesterday from my wife who is at the mall. Her van won't start and she needs a jump. I start that way, but she shares how she asked a man who was walking to his car with his wife and kids. The man told my wife and 3 kids, "I don't have jumper cables". My wife says "I do!". He then says, "we are in a hurry and don't have time." What if it was his wife and kids stranded with a car that won't start. Just makes me angry and only solidifies my belief that society has turned on itself. The mall security beat me to her and assisted with a jump, but if by some chance that guy is a member here... You suck! There are times I judge a situation to be questionable and won't put myself in that situation, but I can't tell you the number of times I've changed a tire for, pulled over to loan a Cell phone, give some support of any kind. Most memorable is when an older lady was trying to change a tire at a full QT and not a single person around her was helping. I walked out of the store and had it changed in 5 minutes while all the worthless people around watched in amazement that I wasn't wearing a AAA shirt. How is it that fathers are falling so far down on the job? If my three boys ever turned their back on someone in need, I'd be very disappointed in them and in myself for not showing them the right way. I so miss country life where your neighbors are helpful and willing to lend a hand. Rant over, my wife and kiddos got home safe and I replaced their battery. If that guy is a member here... You really suck!
