I have purchased some ammo and some of it hase a chocolate brown case w/a copper bullet and the headstamp is 71/87. Any ideas
I'm betting its steel cased, and probably berdan primed.
Well I figured that much lol,I was more interested in country of origin an grain and type of projectile.
I ended up with alot of wolf, bout 180 rnds of copper plated yugo m67, some east German 53 grain practice ammo, it has steel case copper bullet with plastic inside (frangible),got my chocolat colored case with copper projectile and can't find it on the net

It almost sounds like that old China Sports Norinco stuff.

I bought some of it back in '92 when I picked up an SKS (new for like $80?) and it was $2.39\20.
