we do have a way for members to support the forum.
FYI, OSA is a for profit organization.
O'Henry's example "Glocker" apparently has 200 threads since Jan. '16, and I didn't find anything outside of the classifieds.
I can't find it but I believe it was said the current limit is 5 listings, per category, per day. Assuming this applies to the main categories, this is potentially at least 25 postings per day. I do not know if this counts relisting an item or not.
I can't really see that someone not doing it as a business would normally need that many. I think maybe it should be 3 per day for the total of all sections outside of the dealer only section (limit the dealer only to like 10 per day, this would encourage it's use more). I think this would stifle the abuse of the system, yet still leave it open to both the occasional lister and the "business" listers.
I don't know if the forum software has only a global setting or if it can be set per user. If it can be per user, then maybe it could be something like 1-2 per day until you add some contribution to the broader forum and then increased to 5 per day after that.
Or, as some have suggested, if it is a profit driven issue, then allow 2-3 per day total unless you pay the "supporter" fee. (This is not my preferred idea, but a valid idea none-the-less, and at least gets financial contribution if nothing else.)
Then are we really members?
you own this forum?
i know, i know, your 2nd amendment right.
Nope. We're the product.
I think the rules went away one or two site owners ago. I know what you’re saying about multiple listings. I’ve seen several members post ten plus items for sale on one page lots of times.
