The early store reports indicate some nice IHC's on the racks, a few with IHC stocks (themselves worth some $400-500 in very good condition with intact cartouches). Orest said the stores' rifles came from randomly picked pallets, so hopefully their overall condition is representative of the rifles going out to mail orders. ETA: One of the NS's employees posted pics of the sale; some nice looking IHC's flying off the racks, with the birch-stocked examples sticking around longer. There were also a couple pics of the storage area, showing what looked like spam cans of 30-06 on pallets. If you're looking for those to hit the e-store, keep your eyes peeled!
Looks like they didn't make it through all the orders received Monday. Ah well, not the first thing I've had on backorder!
I saw where someone else had received a similar email. With 969 orders delivered the first day, for some 760 rifles ready to go, some folks will be put on back order. Especially those who want LMR barrels, which probably accounts for the majority of that day's orders. At the least, the CMP will have rifles available with which to fill the back orders - the only question is, when?
Have any of you guys received any word yet from the CMP? I'm kind of surprised by the lack of reports of what was found today in the stores. I've seen a bit on the north store but nothing at all on the south store.
I haven't heard anything yet, and there are quite a few people who sent in their orders on Monday who've heard nothing at all. Orest did say to give them two weeks to get it all sorted out, so a few days w/o word isn't going to bother me. Dstout, the guy who was first in line at the SS this morning, just posted a report, though it's a bit light in the details. Apparently there was less of a crowd there than at the NS, though the rifles sounded to be nice ones.
Have you guys heard anything else yet? A rifle was added to my account this morning and should ship sometime today.
Nothing since the DBU on June 2. ETA: The order just now appeared in my e-store account, so I'm guessing I'll get my rifle in the next two weeks. What SN block will you get, 4 or 5 M? Pics of course are obligatory!
The CMP is just now shipping out the mail orders. Jim's is the first I've heard of in this thread to arrive this week.
Serial number is 4550xxx. That is a standard IHC/IHC postage stamp, correct? Supposed to be here tomorrow before 10:30.
