I've been studying the CMP web site and I'm looking for clarification on the requirements for purchase. I get the part about belonging to an affiliated club, but the section concerning proven training and marksmanship has a clause stating if a person is over 60, that section is waived. Does that mean that none of that stuff is required beyond 60 years of age, and that one only needs to have membership in an affiliated club?
And if that's true, does anyone else find it kind of funny that marksmanship is not required for membership in a program whose main mission is marksmanship?
