[QUOTE="mgssamn, post: 4389095, member: 46421"] So I got a p365 optics ready handgun. of course, when I put the holosun 507k you have limited iron sites visibility without putting on new higher ones for co witness. I hate buying those things. I wish the cut out for optic was about 1/16 deeper or the optics were lower profile like my holosun SCS. (have a g45 with holosun SCS that needs no co witness because of low profile) Do most just go without co witness or just buy new sights? curious, surely that has been discussed somewhere before here at some point but I don't remember. I got to thinking, why couldn't I just make a 3d printed "cap" versus buying new? (have my own printer and can create) So I did. Trying to decide if this is a dumb idea, but it works. I had to redo the front a couple times to do it right and so it still fits in holster. They are pressed on, but I will put on a dab of silicon to secure and still not damage original sights. I made holes in rear sight to still be able to see the night sights and left the front night sight exposed as well. Anyway, here are pics. I think it is going to work. First pic is orig with no change- perhaps I could get by with that and if holosun battery is dead you have the front sight in a fight.
