They had some HUGE online-exclusive releases of some very popular shoes that weekend/week (Air Vapormax, Zoom Fly, Pegasus Turbo, Jordan 12, some Lebron model, etc...). Probably more that than just back to school, but certainly it was tactically planned with the campaigns. https://www.sneakerfreaker.com/articles/this-weekends-hottest-sneaker-releases-and-where-to-find-them/ https://sneakerbardetroit.com/sneaker-release-dates/ I'm not a sneakerhead, but being a runner who actually runs in Nike (the Pegasus work best for me... for the record they're only $110 and not $200+) I keep up with this. Say what you want about these being better, worse, or as good as $40 sneakers... there's people who like and buy these over cheaper ones. Just like buying a Seekins over a Anderson, a P226 Navy over a Sigma, or a Browning over a Mossberg, a Wilson over a Rock Island...
