Good to know, thanks @Catt57. My wife is going to call our accountant today to make sure. I want to keep everything on the up and up, have records of everything, so there's no claim of us trying to defraud anyone or whatever. We do the same thing with SAFE-NOW, the 501(c)(3) we are part of, as she is the President and I am the Medical Director, so I make sure to keep my fingers away from any money and/or any monetary decisions, make sure everything goes through the entire Board of Directors, etc., so there's no question of impropriety. This thing we're just trying to throw together some stuff to send, but the 2-part shipping complicates things for us a little bit, once to Miami and then once to Saint Vincent. We seem to be getting a fair amount of donations, still have 2 weekends to go, but it's just going to be the logistics of getting it packaged up in barrels to ship and having it picked up or whatever. Thanks to anyone considering this, I will try to push my wife to get a GFM page set up - I think it would be better for HER to do it, since she is native to St. Vincent, rather than me. It will just look more legitimate and above board. But she has to meet with Fox23 today for a story on our Walk A Mile In Her Shoes event, apparently they saw a TikTok video of the firemen walking in their red high heels and bunker gear (I was in it for a split second, lol) and they want to come do a story. It went viral and got something like 60k likes so maybe we finally got some traction, lol. Anyways, I'll keep ya'll up to date. Thanks!
