I like this part of the above you can't get a license if .

Currently undergoing treatment for a mental illness, condition, or
disorder. For purposes of this paragraph, "currently undergoing
treatment for a mental illness, condition, or disorder" means the
person has been diagnosed by a licensed physician as being afflicted
with a substantial disorder of thought, mood, perception,
psychological orientation, or memory that significantly impairs
judgment, behavior, capacity to recognize reality, or ability to meet
the ordinary demands of life;

Now if you are taking an anti depressant you should not be eligible.
That is under Mood I believe.

My sister should never have a hand gun license then..good thing :)

Not necessarily.

Let's take depression or anxiety.

"diagnosed by a licensed physician as being afflicted with a substantial disorder ... that significantly impairs judgment, behavior, capacity to recognize reality, or ability to meet the ordinary demands of life."

Lots of people with depression and/or anxiety (or even some other disorders like schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, etc.) may be on medication and be quite well-controlled, or may even have some of these conditions WITHOUT medication and are still quite functional and perfectly capable of normal use and carrying of a firearm.

I'd argue this point in a court of law on behalf of someone if they were denied a permit simply based on that poorly-worded and biased statement. I'm actually surprised it hasn't been challenged yet, but it may be because it's not being actually used to deny people a permit, except in the case of marijuana. I don't know.

Well then, you’d better look again. If Oklahoma, the buckle of the Bible Belt, can usher in legal pot the rest of the country isn’t far behind.

Doesn’t matter how many states legalize marijuana if it remains prohibited on the federal level. That’s why all these new marijuana shops opening up are cash only businesses - no FDIC insured bank will allow them to open an account, and they can’t process credit card transactions either.

Again. You may want to look again. And there are local and state banks that will take their cash from what I’m hearing.
I’m not saying I’m for or against, simply stating reality.

The ‘feds’ are represented by the states. The more states that ‘legalize’ it bears to reason that their representatives will support it at a national level.
