[QUOTE="BIG_MIKE2005, post: 2018037, member: 3309"] This makes me sick to my stomach. Why the hell people who hate themselves, their lives & being here on earth have to go hurt innocent people or even worse innocent children I'll never understand. Then 98% of the time the killers take their own life after. Why the hell not just kill themselves at home alone instead of hurting others? It just doesn't make sense. Whats gonna be even bad is too many people are gonna focus on the fact it was a shooting & not just the fact that this guy went into a Elementary school & killed innocent children. Guns are not the problem, a society of mentally unstable people is the problem. Am I wrong for thinking they should rethink the whole school safety thing? I honestly do not believe locking yourself in a classroom & just hoping the shooter doesn't find you or gain access to the room while you wait for police to arrive & eliminate the threat is a bad plan. I would be all for teachers being encouraged to get their CCW & proper training to be more capable of protecting our children. Heck even have them certify like police officers do every so often. Its obvious officers cant always be there to stop a threat, so since we trust teachers to protect our children while they are at school why not give them the ability to stop something like this? Sometimes I wonder of people pick school for this type of thing b/c they know schools are a no firearms property so they know resistance will be little to none when they commit the crime. Bottom line is people like this are mentally unstable, doesn't really matter if they use a gun, knife, spoon, fork, or whatever other weapon they can get. Once people like this decide to kill they will follow through with whatever is handy. Hell prisoners prove this true on a daily basis in our system. We need to focus more on leading factors into why people do these types of things & whats happened to our society over the years that is increased these types of crimes instead of ignorant law makers always screaming its the guns fault. How about we try to figure out the real reasons & address those first? Oh wait, then I guess the government couldn't push gun control down our throats as a fix all cure for this. How about we look to the UK & see how gun control has worked for them.....
