I've got to try that fried cabbage. Is there onions and spices mixed with it?
Hey @dennishoddy,

There was more stuff than I thought, but not a lot. Can't believe I didn't realize there was bacon in it, but no wonder it was so good (hey, I was really tired). :hithead:

She gave me the recipe this morning. I'd be having it for breakfast if there was any left... :D

Code:
Lynnette's Fried Cabbage
  - 2 heads cabbage, sliced thin (approx 1/4")
  - 1/2 lb bacon, cut into small squares
  - 1 onion, chopped
  - garlic salt

Fry bacon and onion together first, then add cabbage
and stir. Cook on low heat, covered, stirring every 10
minutes or so, for about 1 1/2 hours. You want it cooked
down to where the cabbage is somewhat caramelized, and
the bacon will be cooked to tiny bits. Remove lid for
last 20 minutes to cook off any remaining liquid.
When it's done, lightly apply garlic salt and stir
once more.
:drunk2:

Preparing some sausage and some Braums hotlinks to go in the beans tomorrow morning.
Lightly pan fried and on the Green Mountain to soak up some smoke for couple hours. Then I'll refrigerate and toss in the crock pot about 8:00 am. The smoker was an afterthought so next times I'll just shred the sausage and smoke it at 225. Since its already lightly cooked, I am smoking at 150 today. Smoking with Pecan in the GM and mesquite in the wedge.

Got an easy, wife pleasing recipe for you. Made it tonight and my wife loved it. I used breast instead of thighs and pounded them before putting the spices on so they were fork tender and not so dry. You can leave out the red pepper flakes or cit the amount if your wife is a wimp like mine. I served it over pearl barley.
