Its the vinegar, I use vinegar as mart of my steak marinade.
I used to run out of pickle juice frequently, it is also good for leg cramps and when getting overheated. I found a sports drink made by "The Pickle Juice Co" in Texas that is %100 real pickle juice, no additives or flavorings I buy regularly. Academy Sports in Tulsa has had it along with a few supermarkets having the little two oz bottles. I order the 12 pack 8oz bottles off of amazon to never run out now.
I've had a shot of Jameson whisky with a pickle back...pretty good!
We call that an Alabamatini on our fishing trips to Guntersville. Pickles and whatever booze we have on hand
I have those in frozen popsicle form for summer time here.
I usually save the pickle juice from a couple of Vlasic types (bread & butter and garlic dill spears), and sip it along with a sandwich (tastes pretty much like eatin' the pickles).
I save the juice and add hard boiled eggs to the jar as well as a hot pepper.
You don't look like my brother and I'm sure my mom only had one son..........
We've bought sliced/pickled jalapenos by the gallon for years.
Sweetie would often save the juice, and put sliced onions in it for 2-3 weeks.
Man, I loved those.
