[QUOTE="tyromeo55, post: 3590048, member: 1719"] A couple years ago I got a postcard type letter (the kind you tear one side off and fold open). I think it came to the office. Almost disregarded it because it resembled spam mail. It said something about applying for unemployment benefits. I called immediately and told them that I did NOT initiate the claim. At that time the lady on the phone told me she could not tell me anymore about the claim since I did not initiate it (even though it was my name and SSN). Said they could only speak about it to the person who initiated it and the employer...... I told her that as me too. The company even has my last name in the title. After a little Ring-around-the-Rosie I got the claim canceled and address where they wanted the check sent to. It was in a crap little house in the middle of nowhere Florida. Tried to turn it in to authorities. No one cared. Since the scammer didn't actually get money there was no crime. Bunch of horse crap. They had an address Could of sent the bastard down the river.
