I wanted to visit with outfitters regarding a hunt, either in Alaska or Africa next year. Since I would be driving in from out of state, I wanted to check and see if it is legal to carry inside the Dallas Convention Center. With just a bit of research, I found that, indeed, it is legal for those with a license to carry within the building, however, I also found out that DSC has posted 30.06 signs at the convention entrance in past years. Not wanting to make the trip and find out I have to leave my handgun in the convention center parking lot, I contacted DCS and received the following response:Due to this policy, I no longer plan to attend the event and will not spend one cent in support of this organization.  It is hypocritical for an organization to claim support for firearms rights and then ban the exercise of those rights at their own convention. Apparently, they are the "Jim Zumbo" of conservation organizations.</blockquote>
