I should clarify that I was a big fan. I’d even sit through tennis and gymnastics to catch 15 minutes on Wide World of Sports back in the day (70’s). Been to Atlanta, Bristol and Texas three times. Never did agree with ‘the chase’ though. It happened about the time Mark Martin was retiring too. Watched mark race dirt in Missouri,Arkansas, Kansas and some in Ok before he went big time. Lost a little interest but trying to get back into it.
