Every once in a while I see linked ammo for sale and wonder, is it worth getting it if I don't have a belt fed machine?

Just how difficult is it to delink these ammo belts?

Or would it be easier to just buy a firearm that uses linked ammo?

Seriously though. Can you just pop the rounds out? or pull them apart?

simple enough, its pretty much just grab to consecutive rounds, twist opposite directions until the link pops off one, slide the off the loose round (if its on there) rinse and repeat.

At least thats the way it is with Nato 5.56 and 7.62
